Winemaker/proprietor Daphne Glorian’s first white, the outstanding 2024 Laurel Blanc blends Garnatxa Blanca, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, and Moscatel from organic vines planted in schist soils. Creamy, textured, and brimming in effusive fruit, it was given time to age in both French oak and clay amphorae. The acidity is sharp and consistent thanks to the Chenin, while the wine captures the aromatic beauty of the Viognier. Medium-bodied, it has a light touch of oak spice and balanced acidity throughout. A gorgeous wine well worth seeking, it should drink nicely now through 2034 if not longer.
