Critical Acclaim
Luxurious, rich, a little mysterious with scents hard to articulate even though they're very rare and specific, like ambergris or truffles, walking a line that's so close to things that should provoke disgust but instead excite and allure. Intoxicating.
This is really polished and gentle, with ultra-fine tannins that run the length of the wine. It's medium-bodied with a creamy texture and a long and expressive finish of red fruit, stone and thyme.
Moving to the reds, the 2023 Bolgheri Rosso boasts a youthful medium ruby red color, while the nose is pretty and floral with aromas of dusty earth, mixed berries, fresh herbs, and violets. The palate has a lot of focus and a bright, refreshing spine of acidity, fine tannins, and a clean, lightly mineral-inflected savoriness on the finish. A fantastic entry to the range with a huge potential for value, drink it over the next 8-10 years. It has a lot of precision and focus at this time and will only improve with another 6-12 months in the bottle.
A youthful ruby red color, the 2022 Bolgheri Rosso is expressive and fruity on the nose, with notes of mixed berry preserve, candied flowers, and sweet mossy earth. It’s full-bodied, with bright acidity that propels it forward, and also has a touch of greenness, chalky tannins, and a salty finish. It will likely show its best over the coming 6-8 years.
A ripe, juicy version, boasting crunchy cherry, blackberry and spice flavors. This leans to the tannic side, with a mouthwatering, moderately long finish. Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2030.
A lean, focused style, this red reveals cherry, plum, earth and underbrush flavors. Fresh and balanced, with a light grip of tannins. Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Drink now.
