Critical Acclaim
A unique style of placing 10 oak finishing staves into each barrel with the purpose of extracting any combination of five various flavor profiles into the whiskey. (Specifics can be found on the back label of each bottle.) A bit overboard and complex in nature, but the technique illustrates the influence of wood aging. The result presents a kaliedoscope of complexities such as dried fruits, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, maple, cacao, coumarin, cinnamon and smoke.
