In the glass, this South African red shows a deep garnet color with ruby-red edges. The nose opens with inviting, fruit-forward aromatics of black cherry, cassis, dark plum, and subtle accents of mint, dark chocolate, and cigar box cedar. The palate displays a smooth, medium-full body with fresh balancing acidity, structured yet silky integrated tannins, and no effervescence. Partially matured for 12 months in American oak barrels (with the remainder aged in stainless steel), it balances juicy dark currant fruit with subtle oak spice that leads into a polished, long finish. It offers immediate drinking enjoyment upon release with short-term aging potential over 3 to 5 years.
