About This Wine

Tasting Notes

Vibrant pale gold hue with inviting aromas of green apple, juicy pear, lemon curd, and subtly toasted hazelnut. Medium-to-full-bodied and elegantly rounded on the palate, blending crisp citrus and stone fruit flavors with creamy, integrated French oak spice, vibrant natural acidity, and a long, refined mineral finish.

Producer Notes

Organically grown at our high-density Don Miguel Vineyard in the cool Green Valley of the Russian River Valley, named 'La Masía' in homage to our ancestral Catalan estate.

Critical Acclaim

WE 93 Wine Enthusiast 2023 vintage 4/1/2025

A charming balance between tropical citrus, white flowers and vanilla wafts from the glass on the nose of this Chardonnay. The palate displays great depth and supple texture but is driven by focused acidity and flavors of tart pear, Meyer lemon, cinnamon and orange blossom before a floral and mouthwatering finish. Enjoy this with roasted halibut.

JS 92 James Suckling 2023 vintage Tuesday, October 15, 2024

Handsomely rich, ripe and opulent, with ample poached pear, vanilla bean, butter and toast flavors. It's a particularly ripe vintage of La Masia, full-bodied, with a lush, mouth-clinging texture and a long finish. Drink or hold.

SP 92 Wine Spectator 2023 vintage June 30, 2025

Buttery apple pastry, lemon curd, Sumo orange and fresh peach flavors are bright and expressive on a sleek and juicy frame, with details of ginger and lemon mint, plus a drizzle of honey. Drink now. 867 cases made.

WE 91 Wine Enthusiast 2022 vintage

Bright, sunny aromas of citrus and buttery croissant waft from the glass of this vivacious Chardonnay. There's a bit more structure and flavors of roasted pear, vanilla crème brulee and the warmth of clove and cinnamon across a plush, textured palate that finishes with waves of barrel spice.

SP 90 Wine Spectator 2022 vintage March 2025

A juicy version, showing plenty of energy behind its pear, Meyer lemon and Honeycrisp apple flavors, which are vibrant and aromatic. Touches of lemongrass and lemon balm reverberate on the finish, with a hint of toasted brioche. Drink now. 867 cases made.
