Deep dark purple-ruby in the glass, this un-oaked Douro red opens with refined, complex aromatics of cassis, black cherry, and red plum, layered with notes of saddle leather, black tea, cigar smoke, and dark schist soil tones. The palate is focused, deep, and medium-to-full-bodied, framing a solid core of fresh black berry fruit against vibrant Portuguese acidity and fine, gripping tannins. Vinified completely without new oak to preserve unadulterated varietal expression and slate terroir, it finishes long, complex, and savory with a tangy, persistent mineral grip.
