Bright cherry-red to the eye, this wine offers a bouquet of cranberry, black olive paste and rose petal. Bright on entry, it has flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, cocoa butter, eucalyptus and Turkish delight. A touch of baking spice and plush tannins carry into the enduring finish. (Mike DeSimone)

Spiced cherries, plums, tobacco and a meaty undertone with some black earth. A fresh and juicy Rioja with seductive berries and plums on the palate, rounded by precise, dusty tannins. Excellent length and fruit. 100% tempranillo. Delicious now, but can hold. (James Suckling)
