Critical Acclaim
A flashy style, accented by spicy, toasty oak, this features a tight, dense mix of red and dark berry fruit at the core. Comes together on the finish, revealing sharply focused oak and berry details. Long and persistent. Drink now through 2022. 275 cases made. (James Laube)
Made from Dijon clones 777 and 667, the 2011 Pinot Noir is a larger cuvée, coming across with fresher acidity and an even brighter style than the 2010. A successful effort for the vintage, it displays lots of plum, red fruits (especially currants and cherries), underbrush and loamy soil notes. Medium-bodied and juicy, it should drink well for 6–8 years.
Rich Sonoma fruit makes up this silky red. Black cherry and pomegranate notes abound, highlighted by violets, cola and subtle pepper.
