The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Sentinel contains a 1% splash of Petit Verdot and was aged 19 months in 57% new French oak and 2% in new American oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with a beautiful perfume of candied violets, chocolate box and camphor over a core of cassis, blackberry tart and wild blueberries plus hints of cedar chest and lavender. Full, firm and taut, it has layers of black fruit and minty flavors with a long, savory finish. 7,142 cases produced.

Taking on an inky red/black hue, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Sentinel is ripe with blackcurrants, menthol, and toasted cedar. Full-bodied and packed with fruit and earth, it offers youthful primary fruit of black plum, cocoa, and espresso, with generous fruit up front and through the midpalate before revealing ripe but slightly drying tannins on the finish. It’s a solid wine from this vintage to drink 2025-2035.

Seductive oak-spice aromas and concentrated black-fruit flavors make a great combination in this sweet-seeming, velvety wine. Fine-grained tannins wrap around dried plums, baked cherries, cinnamon and vanilla in a captivating way. Best from 2026–2033.
