Critical Acclaim

JD 94 Jeb Dunnuck 2021 vintage 8/30/2023

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is smoking good, with a full-bodied, rich, opulent wine that has classic cassis and darker blue fruits as well as leafy tobacco, baking spice, and bouquet garni notes. This textured, ripe, sexy wine stays nicely balanced, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. It’s another awesome value. (Jeb Dunnuck)

JS 94 James Suckling 2021 vintage Monday, October 16, 2023

Dark berries, cedar, walnuts, sweet spices and pencil shavings on the nose. Full-bodied and so polished and linear, with a chalky texture to the tannins. Wide and layered. Beautiful fruit. Lingering and refined. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)

RP 92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 2021 vintage Dec 29, 2023

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 7% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, 2% Petite Sirah and 1% Syrah and matured for 20 months in 55% new French oak. It has a nose of red cherries, tobacco leaves, vanilla and allspice. The medium-bodied palate has easygoing yet nuanced fruit, powdery tannins, seamless acidity and a long finish laced with oak spices. 27,500 cases were made. (Erin Brooks)

VN 92 Vinous 2022 vintage

Sweet herbs combine with cloves and dried black cherries as the darling 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon blossoms in the glass. Racy and sleek, it offers ripe citrus-infused red and black fruits elevated by nuances of cola and spice, while a stream of vibrant acidity maintains fantastic balance. Mocha mingles with fine tannins as this finishes with medium length and a licorice tinge.<br/><br/>

JS 92 James Suckling 2022 vintage

Dark-fruited, classic aromas of blackcurrants, cedar and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and acidity, showing notes of blackberries, cassia bark, dried herbs and leather. Very savory and austere. Made from a blend of 79% cabernet sauvignon, 8% malbec, 6% syrah, 4% petite sirah and 3% petit verdot. Drink or hold.

JD 91 Jeb Dunnuck 2022 vintage

Based on 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 6% Syrah, 4% Petite Sirah, and 3% Petit Verdot, aged 20 months in 55% new French oak, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals lifted red, blue, and black fruits, violets, tobacco, and incense notes. It's medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and polished on the palate, with fine tannins and outstanding length. Drink 2025-2033.
