Nat Cool Nat Cool Bairrada Red Wine 2024 1.0L

The unoaked red 2022 Drink Me Nat'Cool Bairrada was produced with Baga grapes, 60% purchased from some 30 growers with whom they work throughout the year to teach them how to work and not use herbicides in the vineyard and 40% from their Quinta de Baixo property where the vines are certified organic and worked biodynamically. It's a pale and characterful light red with 11.5% alcohol. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and only two days in contact with the skins to avoid too much tannin. It was then pressed and finished fermenting like a white. It's light and fresh, with character, a little earthy and rustic but with some elegant notes of flowers and red berries, an herbal note that appeared after time in the glass and very fine tannins.
