The 2019 No 3 d’Angelus is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, coming from a selection of younger vines. Fifty percent is being aged in stainless steel. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with bold, pure black fruits — fresh plums, blackberries and boysenberries — with hints of cloves, iron ore and kirsch. Medium-bodied, lively and softly textured, with beautifully bright, uncomplicated fruit, it finishes with lovely harmony.
