Critical Acclaim

RP 96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate NV vintage May 3, 2013

Remarkably silky, as smooth as cashmere and creamy textured, this bourbon offers lots of smoky marmalade, caramel, toffee and new saddle leather-like characteristics. It is a fabulous, intriguing, distinctive bourbon.

OT 86 Whisky Advocate NV vintage

From the folks at Willett distillery, Noah’s Mill has less than 20 barrels in a batch and will include 15 year old barrels in the dump. The deep amber color prepares the nose for what promises to be an exciting ride. Aromas of ginger, plums, cinnamon, fresh-baked cornbread, and fresh-squeezed cherries. The warm palate packs caramel, nutmeg, and vanilla with lovely cinnamon on the finish. Sourced whiskey.

F. Paul Pacult’s Spirit Journal NV vintage

Old copper color; flawless purity. Emits a round, supple yet alluringly spiky/prickly opening aroma that’s dry yet fruity; the fruit salad element continues following further time in glass as the bouquet evolves into a bakery encounter, plush with fruit tarts, prune Danish, and lemon meringue. Entry is remarkably fruity, ripe, and wine-like; midpalate is pleasingly oily, peppery, satiny in texture, and just flat-out honey-like. I’d almost have guessed this to have been matured in old sherry barrels, which of course I know, by law, is illegal for straight bourbon. That, however, is what it tastes like. Deserves an upgrade to Four Stars.
