Critical Acclaim

JD 94 Jeb Dunnuck 2019 vintage 5/4/2022

The base 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is terrific, and while I don’t know the price, I suspect it’s a great value. Deep purple-hued, with terrific mulled currant and blackberry fruits, it has lots of ripe herbal, chocolaty spice notes, full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and a great finish. This is pure Napa Valley goodness to drink over the coming 10–15 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

VN 93 Vinous 2021 vintage Dec 2023

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is bright, precise and vibrant, with red/purplish fruit, spice, lavender, rose petal and blood orange. Medium in body and supremely polished, the 2021 is a super-elegant wine that also shows the more nuanced style favored here today. The 2021 is a blend of fruit from the Mount Veeder, Howell Mountain and Oakville estate properties. (Antonio Galloni)

JS 93 James Suckling 2021 vintage

Powerful but polished, this full-bodied wine boasts generous dark fruit flavors, attractive oak spices and a good, moderately tannic texture. Nicely concentrated black cherry, dried plum, cedar and star anise nuances. Drink or hold.

RP 92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 2019 vintage

Notes of black cherries and cassis combine with cedar and vanilla on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine that’s almost equal parts Howell Mountain, Mt. Veeder and Oakville. It’s medium to full-bodied, reasonably concentrated and already accessible, with plush tannins and a lingering finish.

VN 91 Vinous 2019 vintage Jan 2022

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a soft, easygoing wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Succulent red cherry, plum, mocha, new leather and spice are nicely pushed forward, with floral notes that build in the glass. The Napa Valley Cabernet is a blend of fruit of estate vineyards in Oakville, Howell Mountain and Mount Veeder. (Antonio Galloni)
