Pama Pama Pomegranate Liqueur NV 750ml

The bouquet is appealing, ripe, fruity and berry-like. The palate entry is pomegranate-like, extremely sour, acidic and tart; the midpalate is less aggressive and riper. Finishes tart, amazingly clean and ripe. A wonderful cocktail ingredient.

Last reviewed in 2006 and rated four stars. Color of cherry juice; pure. Lovely, zesty, ripe, tart aromas of pomegranate, cherry, cranberry, all explode from the glass in the first inhalations; the ambrosial secondary sniffs are juicy, ripe, intensely berry like. Entry reflects all the tart juiciness found in the initial nosing and builds upon that; midpalate ripples with delightfully sour pomegranate juice taste. The producers could easily have made PAMA sweet, but instead they wisely maintained the natural tartness which is what makes this a sterling liqueur.
