The blackberry and blackcurrant notes with hints of cedar and toasted oak are very attractive on the nose and palate. It’s medium-bodied for Paso with plenty of fruit and a cool and polished texture in the finish. This is very nicely done. A blend of 85% cabernet sauvignon and 15% shiraz. Drink or hold.

Plush, opulent aromas of damson plums, blackcurrants, cedar, bitter chocolate and cured meats. The palate is supple and rounded with softly integrated tannins and a robust yet polished finish. A great-value wine with plenty to offer, made from 66% Napa cabernet sauvignon and 34% Paso shiraz. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Bin 600 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The Cabernet Sauvignon is from a selection of vineyards across Napa, “and there is a little it of Sonoma in there as well,” says Peter Gago. The Shiraz is from the Paso Robles vineyard; it’s a 78/22 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The fruit heres is so sweet and plush—there is a distinct red berry character that settles and plumes on the mid-palate. Texturally, it is supple, silky and almost plump. 2019 was generally mild and good, and it has produced a suite of wines that are luscious and opulent. The tannins are the framework that drags the fruit back from the edge and brings balance and form to the wine. Smart.

Sourcing 83% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley and 17% Shiraz from Paso Robles, this imaginative blend is structured and meaty, showing notes of cigar box, toasted oak and wild game. This 2021 Bin 600, a Californian blend of Cabernet and Shiraz from Napa Valley and Paso Robles, delivers plush aromas of blackberry and chocolate with a dusting of crushed herbs and sweet American oak. More jammy flavors then emerge, the tannins are solid and chunky, while the overall shape is of a wine built to enjoy over the short to medium term.<br/><br/>

The 2022 Cabernet Shiraz Bin 600 has a natural opulence thanks to its plush blueberry, blackberry and mulberry aromas with just a touch of licorice. This has a velveteen palate with choc-berry flavors and balanced, chewy yet pliable tannins with solid length. This is already drinking well but has potential.

Shows singed cedar and vanilla notes that drape gently over a direct core of raspberry and black cherry pâte de fruit flavors. Tilts to raisin and cinnamon hints on the lightly grainy finish.
