Perrin & Fils Perrin & Fils Vinsobres Les Cornuds 2020 750ml

A blend of equal parts Syrah—matured in large barrels—and Grenache Noir, the 2023 Vinsobres Les Cornuds is crafted from vines rooted at 400 meters in altitude. It opens with a perfumed, fresh bouquet of dark berries, mulberries and flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, tensile and lively, it’s built around bright acids and good depth at the core, concluding with a long, fruity finish. This is a compelling effort.

This late-release wine shows just the subtlest notes of evolution, with salty olive tapenade and forest floor underpinnings to flavors of steeped cherry and plum sauce. Concentrated and dark, this has power in reserve, with black tea tannins still showing some grip. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now through 2028. 5,000 cases made, 2,000 cases imported.
