Critical Acclaim

JS 92 James Suckling 2022 vintage

Here is a delicious, balanced and focused cerasuolo with aromas of dark cherries, blueberries, dried herbs and mild spices following through to a medium body with fine tannins. Refined, with brightness at the center and a refreshing, pulpy finish. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Sustainable. Drink now.

JS 92 James Suckling 2022 vintage

A blend from their four favorite Red Mountain sites, this sleek and polished wine shows an elegant side, with deep blackcurrants, black cherries and hints of dark chocolate wrapped in velvety tannins. Drinkable now; best from 2027.

VN 91 Vinous 2022 vintage Jun 2024

Peppery and floral, the 2022 Cerasuolo di Vittoria wafts up with a spicy blend of crushed wild berries and savory herbs. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and crisp red and blue fruits. Tantalizing acidity refreshes the palate toward the close. It tapers off classically dry yet fresh and floral, leaving a violet resonance to fade. (Eric Guido)

WE 91 Wine Enthusiast 2022 vintage

The nose features aromas of cherry blossom, raspberry and blood orange, along with savory notes of pencil shavings and black tea. Cherries and raspberries macerate on the palate, but that sanguine, almost chalky bitterness of tea leaves persists before a salted chocolate finish.

SP 90 Wine Spectator 2022 vintage July 31, 2024

Notes of juicy cherry and boysenberry are underscored by tar, smoke and grilled herb accents in this lively, light- to medium-bodied red, which is silky and spiced on the finish. Nero d'Avola and Frappato. Drink now through 2029. (Alison Napjus)
