Planteray Planteray Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum NV 750ml

The full-out russet/henna color is dazzling; excellent purity. First nosings pick up pleasing scents of sweetened pineapple, brown sugar, grilled pineapple but by the second passes the rum aroma component has been discreetly ushered out of the room as the pineapple presence takes full, if slightly sour charge. Entry is amiably soft, mildly ambrosial, and tart enough to maintain the pineapple/citrus focus; midpalate is the stage where this rum shows its best side as the pineapple/rum marriage appears to be fully consummated. Finishes long, more fruity than rummy.
