Critical Acclaim
This has aromas of currants, sour cherries, bay leaves, dried herbs and lemon leaves. Medium-bodied with firm, chewy tannins. Savory and gently earthy. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is a very pretty wine. Readers will find a supple, perfumed Cabernet Sauvignon that emphasizes freshness and drinkability more than the richer style often associated with Tuscany's Maremma. I admire its balance and aromatic presence, both of which make it a fine choice for drinking over the next handful of years.
The nose begins with tea leaves, blackberries and dried cherries before turning more deeply umami with herbs, soy sauce, stone and soil. The tea leaves and soy sauce star on the palate, with everything working together to recall a serene Japanese garden.
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is bright, fresh and wonderfully precise. Not a lot of volume here, but this is nicely done. Dark cherry plum and grilled herbs. A bit nervy, good energy and great value.
Lush and ripe, this red delivers plum, blackberry and grassy flavors backed by a dense swath of tannins. Lively, ending with a crisp finish. Drink now through 2027. 4,500 cases imported.
