Classic aromas of blackcurrants, dark cherries, cedar and graphite. The palate is full-bodied with fine tannins and integrated acidity, giving notes of Damson plums, licorice and boysenberries. Well balanced and refined, with a drying finish. Drink or hold.

Superrich and ripe-tasting, this wine practically oozes blackberry and blueberry syrup on every sip, coating the palate with richness that’s emphasized by a very full body and appropriately grippy tannins. Best through 2033. (Jim Gordon)

Pride's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is predominantly from the Sonoma side of the property (64%), with the balance coming from the Napa portion. A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, it features scents of dried herbs, black olives and black cherries on the nose, while the medium- to full-bodied palate is plush and velvety. The mountain tannins are nicely managed, present but ripe and soft, lingering pleasantly on the finish.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful, burly wine. Copious amounts of dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, spice, leather, tobacco and incense are all amplified. There's plenty of fruit, but also tannins that are pretty bombastic. Even with some rough contours, this is a fine example of the year.
