Producer Notes
A pale ruby red color. Fine, delicate and persistent fragrance with trace scents that bring to mind forest strawberries and raspberries. Pleasantly bitter taste, velvety, at once light and full. A wine well suited to red meats on the spit and grilled, game, truffled fondue, agnolotti, Italian gourmet dishes of white and red meats, also with spiced sauces.
Critical Acclaim
Pouring a transparent red-orange hue, the 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo Ochetti is bright and refreshing, with aromas of cranberries, fresh flowers, orange zest, and spice. Historically sourced from Roero, the wine now also includes fruit from cooler sites in Dogliani, balancing the warmth of Roero with added freshness. Made with roughly one week of skin contact and fermented as of 2024 with full berries, the style emphasizes elegance rather than power. Medium-bodied, it’s snappy and lively on the palate, with bright acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Drink 2026-2032.
