Critical Acclaim
From an excellent vintage and an equally acclaimed producer, this is an opulent and appealing bottling from first sniff. Gentle lamp oil and candlewax notes weave between green apple and lemon rind. The palate is crisp and dry, with less upfront fruit but a lovely tang of citrus acidity, a stony minerality and a waxy texture to the finish. It's a bargain for the quality.
Brisk, mouthwatering and transparent, this gunflint-flecked riesling hums with a subtle undertow of spices beneath lemon-lime, citrus pith and green apples. Crunchy throughout. Drink or hold.
Bright Meyer lemon and crisp yellow apple flavors form a plump core, while verbena and quinine notes add zip through the juicy finish. Drink now through 2028.
The 2022 Dry Riesling comes from a vintage with a polar vortex in the winter, resulting in a much smaller crop. Those low yields led to great depth of fruit here, accented by leesy saltiness. Sweet peach, apricot, lime zest and an exotic note of guava emerge, braced by measured acidity and notable grip. This bracing Riesling finished at 3 grams per liter of residual sugar. The 2022 is quite good.
