About This Wine
Tasting Notes
Pale lemon-straw with shimmering green reflections. High-toned and energetic on the nose, offering aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach, crushed limestone, and subtle sea spray. Light-bodied, taut, and mouthwatering on the palate, delivering crisp citrus and tart orchard fruit flavors layered over a distinct chalky mineral spine. Finishes clean, bone-dry, and extraordinarily refreshing.
Producer Notes
ounded in 1990 by enologist Angelos Rouvalis and currently led by his daughter Theodora Rouvalis along with Antonio Ruiz Pañego, Rouvalis Winery is a pioneer in the mountainous viticulture of Aigialeia in the northern Peloponnese. 'Asprolithi' (meaning 'white stone') is crafted from 100% Roditis grown on steep, north-facing terraced slopes at elevations reaching up to 840 meters. The high altitude, cool sea breezes from the Gulf of Corinth, and lean limestone soils produce a light, electric white wine defined by razor-sharp acidity, citrus precision, and intense chalky minerality.
