Pretty new copper color; impeccable purity. First sniffs encounter pleasant scents of egg white, oak resin, and citric acid; the wake-up call of aeration stimulates toasty, sawdust, oaky aromas that come off waxy and leathery in the nicest way. Entry is rich, chewy yet minerally and earthy; midpalate features an oily, medium-viscous texture and deep flavors of oak, charcoal, marshmallow, vanilla, and honeyed cereal. Luscious and long in the finish. Just as savory as I remember from a dozen years ago.
