A firm version, with a fine mousse, this elegant Cava offers a delicate underpinning of smoky minerality woven with detailed notes of steeped peach and raspberry fruit, pickled ginger and blood orange zest. Macabeo and Parellada. Drink now through 2025. 25,000 cases made, 9,000 cases imported.
The Non-Vintage Reserva Heredad is made entirely from 2006 fruit, Macabeo 67% and Parellada 33%. It is essentially a vintage selection of the best fruit from a given year. Mineral, smoked nuts, green apple, and floral notes inform the nose leading to a crisp, refreshing, nicely proportioned Cava that will provide pleasure for another 1–2 years.
Fresh, clean apple and white-peach aromas are good but not overly expressive or complex. This feels fresh and lifted, with minerally, stony flavors of apple and lime. A clean, pointed finish feels nice and tastes like lettuce and bitter greens.
This firm Cava leads off with a streak of petrol and spice, followed by more subtle Gala apple, honey and lemon curd flavors. A focused version, with a racy finish. Drink now through 2019. 23,000 cases made, 17,000 cases imported.
