Sheldrake Point Sheldrake Point Riesling 2022 750ml

A medium gold hue, there's lovely honeyed, floral intensity to the citrus and stone fruit aromas. The palate is off-dry with flavor concentration and a slippery textural component that plays nicely with the racy acidity. Food friendly and age-worthy.

The 2020 Riesling is off-dry, coming in with 21 grams per liter of residual sugar, 8.5 of total acidity, plus 11.4% alcohol. Beautifully done at a nice price point, this seems relatively full in mouthfeel and perfectly balanced. The acidity makes sure it doesn't really seem sweet, although it is not fully dry. It's dry enough, though, that you could use this at the table and not notice the sugar much. This is in a crowd-pleasing style that has distinction as well. It should age well. And it all comes in at that nice price point. There were 216 cases produced. This will not be released until August 2022.
