The 2022 Monastrell Mira Salinas from Alicante spent 12 months in French oak barrels of varying ages (500L). Aromas of red and black fruit-plum, cherry and dark morello--are joined by spices and white pepper. The tannins are slightly rustic, with structure and a greenish edge. It is firm and flavorful.
