Six Eighty Six Eighty Cabernet Franc Carbonic 2021 750ml

The nose on this aromatic, strawberry juice colored carbonic red is, frankly, odd. It's a mashup of red berries still on their stems, potpourri, cherry bubblegum and damp leaves. The palate is lightweight, fresh and more cohesive. Here it's about refreshment, the stalky red fruit smudged by skinsy tannins. A divisive style that puts winemaking over place, but that has its own sort of charm.
