Critical Acclaim
The nose of the 2023 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvee is very expressive and nicely detailed, and I really like this. It has fantastic, focused notes of cranberry cocktail, darker spice, crushed stones, and fresh floral perfume. The palate is medium bodied and well-defined, with an even, silky texture and a refreshing feel of acidity on the finish. It was 80% destemmed and was aged for nine months in 20% new French oak barrels. This was a fabulous start to the reds at my tasting! Drink 2025-2035. 72,000 bottles were produced.
This tense, structured red offers layered blueberry and cherry flavors accented by notes of black tea and dusky spices. Finishes with medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2032. 4,000 cases made. (Tim Fish)
Medium ruby red-hued, the 2022 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvee is expressive and elegant on the nose, with notes of red cherries, candied cranberries, roses, fresh spice and herbs, and lifted piney herbs. Medium-bodied, it has a weightless, linear feel, with fine tannins, even acidity, and a clean, tapered finish with a light herbal note. It’s a very charming wine to drink over the next 5–6 years. The 2023 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvée wafts up with a mix of crushed cherries complemented by nuances of cocoa and spice. Silken in feel, it offers ripe red and blue fruits swirling throughout, offset by a tinge of citrus. The finish is marked by a web of fine tannins and a cascade of dark inner florals.
