Critical Acclaim
Typical cabernet sauvignon nose with dark olives, cigars, paprika and fresh blackberries. Tight and very juicy on the palate, with a medium to full body and a chunk of firm and nicely chewy tannins. Long and flavorful. Needs time to soften. Drink from 2026.
Spicy nose with black cherries, olives, dried herbs and undergrowth. Juicy and well structured with tight tannins with a smooth, supple mouth-feel. Drink now.
Maipo Valley is the home of Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile. This delicious red at a budget-friendly price confirms it. It starts with strawberry and wood spice aromas that introduce a lively palate, with notes of red fruit and cinnamon. In the finish, leafy notes add another layer of flavor.
The 2022 Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a direct, red-fruited, dusty bouquet supplemented with spice-driven accents. The palate is succulent, seamless and energetic, concluding with a straightforward, savory and subtly drying finish. As with much of the Tarapacá range, this offers a solid, polished expression of contemporary Maipo. It contains 5% Syrah.
Tightly wound at the moment, featuring abundant five-spice details that surround a concentrated blackberry core, with floral notes and vibrant, minerally acidity driving the finish. Concludes with structured tannins and a toasty mocha note. Drink now through 2034. 44,000 cases made, 220 cases imported.
