Tre Monti Tre Monti Thea Rosso 2022 750ml

Dark and intense, the 2020 Sangiovese Superiore Riserva Thea slowly opens in the glass with a dusty blend of black cherries, licorice and purple and blue florals. It flows across the palate with velvety textures and medium-bodied weight. A brisk, acidic core balances the mineral-tinged fruit. This leaves a coating of fine tannins as licorice and exotic spice nuances echo throughout. The 2020 is a powerful rendition of Thea that maintains excellent balance. (Eric Guido)

Reserved on the nose at first, the wine develops aromas of prickly, tart cranberry, pomegranate, and underripe raspberry. It's zippy and lively on the palate with fine tannins making their presence known in the mid-palate. Juicy and forward, this wine is an engaging and refreshing choice that's sure to please.
