Turley Wine Cellars Turley Pesenti Vineyard Zinfandel 2022 750ml

Medium ruby in the glass, the 2022 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is refined and pure on the nose, leading with varietally classic aromas of yellow peach, wild red berry jam, touches of woodsmoke and tomato leaves and a mix of earth-driven, evergreen aromas. The palate clearly shows its warm-climate origins with its rich, concentrated, explosively perfumed red fruit flavors. It admirably retains precision despite this massive frame and is lined with fine-grained, generous tannins. The finish is led by peachy, fruit-driven perfume with just enough tangy acidity to prop up the long, juicy finish that calls you back to the glass. (Matthew Luczy)

The 2023 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is a classic Paso Robles Zinfandel. It emerges from a site planted in 1923. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and cloves blast across the palate. A wine of substance and forward, luscious fruit, the 2023 is alluring from start to finish. (Antonio Galloni)

The 2022 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is a very pretty wine, and also surprisingly delicate for Paso. Medium in body, with terrific nuance, the Pesenti is super-expressive in this vintage. Crushed flowers, blood orange and cedar overtones linger on the aromatic, finessed finish.
