Firmly rooted in Tuscany, with telltale wild herb, earth, iron, tobacco and sanguine notes accenting the core of black cherry flavors. Firm tannins add structure. Stays fresh through the finish. A melange of sweet, ripe berries on the nose, including brambleberries, mushy strawberries and elderberries. Some fern-like notes, too. Medium-to full-bodied with brighter fruit and some lightly firm tannin. Turns to salted caramel on the finish. Sangiovese, ciliegiolo, vermentino nero and barsaglina. From organically grown grapes. A little odd, in quite a rustic style, but attractive enough. Drink now.
