Critical Acclaim

VN 91 Vinous 2022 vintage

The 2022 Pinot Grigio Dessimis is delicately floral in the glass, boasting a coppery-orange color. Dried apricots, almond paste, peaches and lifting hints of mint form its bouquet. The palate is soft and enveloping, nearly juicy in feel, with ripe orchard fruits balanced by brisk acidity and tactile mineral tones. The 2022 finishes long, staining and lightly structured, with lingering nectarine and spice nuances.

VN 91 Vinous 2023 vintage

The 2023 Pinot Grigio Dessimis is a remarkably pretty platinum pink. It mixes incense with dusty dried flowers and ginger-infused peach. This wine sweeps across the palate, seamless yet finessed in style, with a cascade of sweet herbal tones and crisp nectarine and peach, all riding a wave of cooling acidity. It is gently structured and long, leaving a spicy twang that puckers the cheeks as a pleasantly bitter tinge lingers.

SP 91 Wine Spectator 2023 vintage December 2025

Lightly tawny in color, this is Pinot Grigio in a ramato style, with woodsy spice and dried floral accents to the flavors of macerated peach, dried white raspberry, mandarin orange peel and green almond. Lightly chalky and refreshing on the salty finish. Drink now through 2036. 5,570 cases made, 675 cases imported.

SP 90 Wine Spectator 2022 vintage August 19, 2024

This is a ramato-style Pinot Grigio—broad and creamy on the palate and lightly tawny in color. A spine of well-cut acidity enlivens flavors of baked peach and apricot, blanched almond and chamomile, plus a touch of spun honey that lingers on the spiced finish. Drink now through 2028. 1,500 cases made, 500 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
