Critical Acclaim

WE 93 Wine Enthusiast 2023 vintage

Year in and year out, the Tre Vigne Barbera delivers. This 2021 is loaded with ripe and macerated black cherries with sweet and savory spices wafting in and out. As the wine develops, earthy and floral aromas leading you into the mouthwatering palate showing tart blackberry, allspice and bay leaf, with bright acidity on the finish. Drink now–2035.

VN 91 Vinous 2023 vintage Jan 2026

The 2023 Barbera d'Asti Trevie shows why Barbera rules in Asti, where it is planted in the very best sites (unlike in Alba, where Nebbiolo is the most important grape). Brisk acids cut through a core of red-toned fruit, white pepper, graphite, slate, mint, chalk and blood orange. This mid-weight, intensely savory/mineral Barbera is a total knockout.

JD 91 Jeb Dunnuck 2023 vintage 4/8/2026

From vineyards with south, southeast, and southwest exposures, the 2023 Barbera D'Asti Trevie reflects the solar character of the vintage. It pours a saturated magenta/red color and opens with ripe aromas of blackberries, plum, violets, and red fruit accents layered with a resinous undertone of tarry earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers vibrant acidity, ripe tannins, and a savory finish. Aged for 10 months in cask, it may benefit from another year in bottle to settle but should drink well over the next 4-6 years. 75,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2026-2032.
