Critical Acclaim
The 2019 Proprietary Red Wine Legend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 8% Counoise, and the rest Grenache and Tannat, sourced from Sonoma County. This spicy, textured, herbal (although not green) effort has lots of red and black fruits, medium to full body, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It’s a character-filled, satisfying red to drink over the coming 7–8 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
The 2019 Legend Proprietary Red Wine is composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, plus smaller portions of Grenache, Tannat and Counoise. Matured for 20 months in around 40% new French oak, it has broody scents of cassis, lilac, aniseed, mint and coffee beans. The full-bodied palate is firm and refreshing with floral fruit and a perfumed finish. 2,704 cases produced.
