Ruby in color, this historic old-vine Oregon Pinot Noir from the original 1983 estate plantings opens with expressive aromatics of wild cranberry, ripe raspberry coulis, cedar, baking cinnamon, and subtle potpourri dried flowers. The palate is savory, elegant, and medium-bodied, layering crunchy blackberry and dark cherry against blood orange zest nuances, forest floor undertones, and a firm, sanguine mineral grip. Sixteen months of maturation in French oak (22% new) contributes integrated structural spice without obscuring the fruit's natural purity, leading into a bright, mouthwatering finish driven by vibrant acidity and polished, lingering tannins. Cellar-worthy in architecture, it will develop further complexity through 2035.
